The Fire-by Katie

The fire was big, big as 2 elephants standing together,

it spread like peanut butter and jam because of the weather.

The fire ran across the forest, hanging on the trees,

burning all the animals like rabbits, birds and bees.

When the sun came out did all the people know

and everyone ran away, all hoping for no more.

Everyone couldn't be saved neither the animals,

that took with it all the cannibals!

Character Day
I was excited; I had extensively researched on my character and knew what to say line by line. My cosplay was on target and I had a paper sword as my prop which I had handcrafted the night before, I was proud of it. I walked into my classroom as Percy Jackson, demigod and Son of Poseidon. Many of my peers were fans of the books and almost immediately recognized my character. I was surrounded by Harry Potters’ and Sherlock Holmes’. The day was going to be great, many people I will admit had better costumes than me, but I was confident enough to not let that bother me. But hadn’t I learned from previous experiences, life has a way of changing the course of what you thought your day was going to be.
